I was all set to upgrade to this, and they discontinued it!

So I'm wondering what a good alternative sampling instrument would be.

I'm doing film soundtracks.

I'm into part-time music production myself and feel Sonic Producer should be a good alternative for beats, sampling and the like. I use it for my flash multimedia projects and the results are both satisfying and addictive. The user interface is pretty easy to use and suits experimentation.
