MUSLIMS, i have something 2 ask.plz answer.?

Question

Assalam-o-alaikum every1,

i wanted 2 ask about the Tarawih that we offer after Isha prayer.

some people says that we can pray on;y 8 or 20 not less or more than them.n some say that we can even pray 4, 6, 12 or 20.

so i am really confused.well.....nowadays i just pray 8 tarawih at the mosque.

so how much can we pray???

well brother, our prophet Muhammad (saw) prayed 11 rak'ats, and for the madhab of Abu Haneefa, Ashafi'i and Ahmad they say 20 rak'ats, or as the Maliki madhab 36 ra'ats, anyway brother it is all a good deed no matter how many rak'ats and Allah (swt) doubles the rewards to whom he wants,,

the prophet perform 8

better to perform what the Prophet or the sahabah performed

Ä°mam Ebû Hanife, îmam Şafii, Ä°mam Ahmed, Ä°mam Dâvûd and  Imam Mâlik say that salat Teraweeh have 20 rekats.

btw praying in this month is more worthy than other months.why do u quit it in 8?

Prophet PBUH prayed 8, later at the time of Khalifa Omar, people start to pray 20.

you can pray either 8 or 20

I don't know about 4, 6, or 12 , but I always prefer to adhere to what is authentic

it is nafelah SISTER, so it can be done of any number,

but i think the prophet (peace be upon him) was mostly doing it 8 like most mosques or 20 like for example makkah,

but if u done less or moreit is ok cuz i told u it sunnah and not obligatory ....

may Allah accept from us.
