  1. Well, the hole left by the baby tooth is probably smaller than the adult tooth, meaning it comes through crooked. My younger sister's bottom front teeth were crooked ( they were pushing against each other and where they met in the middle was pushed outward) but as she got older, they straightened out. I guess as she grew, so did the space for her teeth?

It's probably nothing, but if you're worried, you should take him to see your dentist.

  2. It could straighten on it's own.  But they don't always.  Baby teeth should have spaces between them.  If they do then it means there is room for permanent teeth.  If there is not much spacing, then he will probably be crowded and stay crooked to some degree.  Braces would then be in his future if you want to correc it.

  3. Could be a "supernumerary" tooth, which is a tooth bud between the baby and permanent tooth.  Generally deformed, it usually has to be pulled if it doesn't come out on its own.

Otherwise, the tooth in mention, barring deformity, will likely grow into place as the other permanent teeth emerge.

Don't panic.  Your son's got a lot of growing to do yet, and sometimes things that don't start out perfectly, turn out just fine.

  4. FYI your son has a mixed dentition and in such with adult and baby teeth there is an arrangement discrepancy. Don't worry though this will change as he grows.
