He seems kinda grouchy... is this normal?

Also seems that the new feathers growing in are tender... is this normal?

How long does it last?

How long does it take for tail feathers to grow back?

( half of his tail feathers broke and fell out from climbing all over the cage.) =[

Is there anything I can to do to make him more comfortable or any kind of food that will help?!?

Any other information on molting is greatly appreciated!!!! =]

Me and my buddy thank you! :-]

  1. they really don't molt he may be plucking   and when feathers grow out they start out soft

  2. Try letting him bath in warm water.

    Grouchyness is very normal.

  3. What does the person above mean by they don't molt? Of course they molt! That's actually right around the time of their very first molt. Mine is seven months old and going through the same thing. Grouchiness is normal, the feathers growing in aka blood feathers are very tender. It is advisable to let him take baths and feed extra protein in his diet. Good luck!
