MY BOSS??? help me please?

i work in a local convienient store in claifornia just for summer job to raise my college money. I was never over/short more than $2 its been 3 summers i've been working here but this manager is a New one, really rude lady, its a corporation not a franchise store. I was short $50 last night and she suspended me in front of my regular customers (a big line) i felt so humiliated . is there any legal action i can take ? i'm not the only 1 who use that register, there are several other people who use it when i go ona break or when doing my assignments. She could not track it on the camera and she literally told me i put the money in the pocket. which i never did. I felt so embarrassed when she yell at me front of everyone customers and co-workers and ordered me to clock out and go home.

so wait can you contact someone higher up the ladder or not? that is c**p! I would definitly do something about it and tell, try calling any law firm and asking if they do free consultations or contact your local labour industry or business licensing office..

not sure if they wil have the exact answer for you but might point you in the right direction. with no proof she had absolutely no right to take away the rest of your days pay or harass you in front of customers, if I were to have seen that I would not go back to that establishment.

In this case, I would talk to your manager. Tell her exactly what you told us. She may listen, she may not. If she doesn't listen, try going to someone higher, and let them know what's going on. If not even that works, I would go look for another job. Keep this job, but just look for another. Once you find another, turn in your 2-week notice.
