I have a 2001 chevy blazer. Yesterday it started hesitating as I would rev it. By the end of the night the car had stalled several times and now the check engine light is on

  1. hm. its a 2001 so there wouldent be any carburator. was it after you put in new gas? maby you got dirty gas. it sounds lik the engine is getting enough gas to sustain idle but not revs. check your fuel pump.

  2. go to any parts store for free scan... an 01 prob needs tune if its never had one yet.

  3. I say it's the fuel pump. That's the same thing my husband's car did. He bought a fuel pump and fix it right away.He tried so many diff things but fiannly got the fuel pump and that fixed it.

  4. The alternator charges the battery, It doesn't have anything to do with how the engine performs. Get a diagnostics check performed. The check engine light is telling you something that affects the way the engine performs is not operating properly. There are multiple components which can cause that.
