MY Cat is not eating,why is that?

My cat did that too and when we took him to the vet it turned out that he had a cold and couldn't smell very well, so he wouldn't eat his dry food. The vet gave him wet food (which smells more) and he ate it all in like a second. Your cat may have a cold where he doesn't want dry food because he can't smell it. If you already feed him wet food then maybe there is something that scared him of annoys him near his food and he doesn't feel comfortable eating there. You could try moving the food to a more private place if that's the case. Hope I helped! :D

I'm not sure what kind of food you use, but often wet cat food smells more and some cats prefer it. You should try a combination of wet and dry food. My cat likes his food better at room temp, so when the wet food has been in the fridge I microwave it for approx 10 seconds to warm, this also makes the smell stronger. When my cat wasn't eating the vet suggested getting a can of tuna in water and pouring the water over my cat's food and microwaving that just a little.

PLEASE TAKE KITT TO THE VET ASAP.  IF HE / SHE ISN'T DRINKING,  IT IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM.

A CAT CAN GET DEHYDRATED FAST.

THE VET WILL WANT TO KEEP KITT FOR A FEW HOURS, GIVE KITT SOME IV SOLUTION FOR RE HYDRATION, SOME BLOOD TESTS TO SEE WHAT THE WHITE COUNT IS.

THE VET WILL PROBABLY SEND YOU HOME WITH A DIAGNOSIS AND SOME MEDS TO GIVE TO HIM / HER.

He may have a stuffy nose, cats cannot eat what they cannot smell.  Get him to the vet if he won't eat for 24 hours
