Its most likely adaware that installed itself and is in all actuallity a virus.

do a scan.

Sorry Allison,

This antivirus did not install by itself.

Someone has clicked for a FREE SCAN.

It does a scan and you have heaps of viruses, but the only way to remove them is buy the program.

IT IS A SCAM!!

There are so many now.

Find out the name and search.

I suspect it is "XP Antivirus"

This has nothing to do with Windows XP.

Search your computer for the file"XPA.exe" and delete it.

Install a good Internet Security Suite, not a FREE one.
