  1. Just leave it,it`ll be ok and make it out on it`s own..

    When it does hatch leave it in there with top on at least 24 hours till it`s dry,then it can come out.

  2. Just leave it alone and let it hatch.  It is a lot of work trying to hatch your way out of an egg.  My duckling Doodles took a full day to hatch, and he is a healthy happy duck now.  It's normal.

    Don't take him out of the incubator untill he is FULLY dry and fluffed up.  That takes a few hours.  He can't do much but stumble around untill then anyways.

    Make sure you have the heat lamp and brooder set up NOW so that when he does hatch he has a place to go when he is dry.  I made the mistake of waiting untill the last minute, and then I was stressing out trying to make the heat the right temp.  I suggest doing that now!

    Don't take the top off the incubator for any longer then it is necessary to get the duckling out.  Keep the incubator warm and stable for the other ducklings.

    I don't know if you know this, but the duck will imprint on you.  A good way to do this is talk to it so it learns your voice.  It can hear you now, as a matter of fact.  Try and be the first thing he sees.

    Another thing that works for imprinting is holding him in your hands and talking to him.  Blow of him softly (slowly so your breath is WARM not cold, so he stays warm).  That makes him calm and he thinks of you as mom.

    I started my duck Doodles like that, and he totally imprinted on me.  He hatched in the winter, so we had to keep him in the basement instead of the garage, so he would follow me around the house when I let him out.  We also let him swim in the bathtub (but wait untill he has most of his feathers before you do that).  It was so cute!

    Ducklings are really fun!  Good luck!

  3. don't worry this is normal. I had a duck that was hatching from an egg once. Just let it come out on it's own. It takes quiet a while. When it eventually get out of the egg just leave it in the incubator until it's all fluffy. Then you can take it out and put it in a little cage and feed it. Then thats all you do. You have to be pacient.

    Hope that helps :]

  4. It can take up to about 2 days for ducks to hatch! They are very slow at it. Do NOT help it out, as it will make the duck very weak and they'll most likely die. If the duck is in there for more than a day and no progress is made you can help a TINY bit.

    Freedom sounds like a nice name.

    Once the duck hatches it must stay in the incubator until it is completely dry, or no more than 24 hours.[after hatched] Once dried it should be placed in something with a heating lamp. A tiny bowl of water and food should be provided too. {remember, tiny bowl of water!}

    Keep the duck and the rest of the eggs in the incubator. Only take the ducks out when they are dry.

  5. Didn't you research this befor you began the project?

    Do not be confused.  We are too, reading how you write.
