MY FISH IS SWIMMING at a SLANT AND is laying on his bottom breathing!?

I seperated him from his other tank mates, 4 zebra danios in a 5 gallon tank, i seperatd Nemo who i had for a year. he isnt SHOWING any type of disase he is moving at s slant contunines ly! im so scared please help me!!!

  1. sounds like he has a swim badder problem. when is the last time you did a water change?


  2. Has your tank finished its nitrogen cycle?  Sounds like one of the symptoms of new tank syndrome.  Please check your ammonia/nitrite/nitrate levels.  My fish love frozen brine shrimp, maybe you should try him on that.

  3. It's called inflamed gills. My betta fish just went to fishy heaven due to that. You have to get medicine IMMEDIATELY! I recommend Maracyn- Two in powder form. Your pet store should have it. Ask the employees to help you.

    Inflamed gills is very hard to get rid of. So you're going to have to be a trooper and keep on giving him medicine for every 24 hours for five days.

    Warning; I'm sorry to say, but he may die.
