  1. Increase the air pressure in your tires. Simple.  Just don't go too overboard.

  2. It all depends on what tires you have on the kart.  Knobby tires can "dig" into the dirt causing it to turn in the dirt.  The knobbs can't dig into the pavement Slicks work well on pavement because there is a large surface area for friction.  Slicks don't work well in dirt because there is nothing to dig into the dirt.

The problem could also be the speed of the cart and  weight of the kart.  If you don't have enough "weight" or down-force on the cart, then high speed turns on pavement will slide regardless of the tire.

  3. Murphy is correct about the tires. If  its not a tire issue then you need to provide more information. Like>

What kind of cart is it (name brand), How much power (HP) does it have...etc.

One thing you should check, is that your front wheels are exactly parallel to each other, meaning that they are neither toed-in or toed-out. Run it like that as a starting point and then you can tune to toe-in toe-out to how you like it.

Toe-out of ¼ or there abouts is probably what you're looking for.

  4. Like T-bone said, first thing to look at is tire pressures.

Increase them and see if it gets any better.

If they're too low the kart will slide around a lot.

Low grip surfaces require higher tire pressures.
