MY IBM computer won't start!!!! help, read more below?

okay so when i start my ibm thinkpad computer it won't start up, a funny page comes up asking for dates.

idk but IBM's suck i go to a college that gives them to u and i'm constantly at the help desk

That sounds like a nasty virus, If it were me I would get a live boot cd of linux, boot it, back up my files and then format your computer
