  1. New computer is the answer.

Or you can spend a lot of money updating a bunch of hardware on an old computer, with a bunch of other outdated hardware.

  2. Do you have a dual-core processor or not? If you have 2 1.87 GHz processors, then your in fine shape processor wise.

However, it is really your video card that will be the determinant factor.

  3. get a nicer computer or get a shittier game

  4. buy a new computer with a

    - processor speed of 3GHz

    - 2GB memory (RAM)

    - Video Card - at least 128MB speed

    - Big hard drive - 160GB capacity

if you are a gamer that is the minimum requirement for a computer

  5. The game would probably run, but it will lag.  More RAM may help and/or a better video card to take the graphic load off the CPU.  It also helps to lower your screen resolution when playing the game.  Lower resolution requires less processing power.

  6. Most Laptops unless they are Very expensive do not play games very well as they only have on board video which uses part of normal ram to play If you want to play games you need either an expensive laptop or a Desktop computer from Ebay

About $700 to $800 should get you a reasonably good one

That should have a 2 to 3ghz CPU and dual core as well I have just checked and there is a quad core one for $899 plus postage

  7. if your processor is dual core and its referring to single core speed then it wont matter.

the other variables you need to be mindful of are the recommended video card setup and the recommended ram.

If you are paying for the game, dont waste your money if your computer doesnt meet the 'recommended' requirements. 'Minimum' requirements are just that, the bare minimum the game will 'run' on. You need decemnt specs to run it properly, otherwise it will glitch and stagger and you'll have to run it at low resolution. which really isnt much fun (speaking from experience)

  8. Upgrade the processor.  Even in doing this, 95% of the time the game will still run like c**p, because laptops are NOT meant for gaming.  The on-board graphics adapter that comes with it isn't much better than a graphics adapter made 5-7 years ago.  If you want to game, build a desktop computer.
