If it is a mathmos lava lamp you can buy a new bottle, next time don't leave it on too long! If you see the bubbles getting tiny turn of off coz the wax will start to break down.

Read the instructions that come with the next one you buy to learn the " lava lamp rules" and then you will enjoy years of lava lamp leisure

buy a new one... dont open it because once air gets into it it will be useless...

its hard to find a good lava lamp

leave it off for a long time. When you leave it off the bubbles should form a hard plastic blob at the bottom and the clear stuff will stay at the top, if you keep it on then its melting the bubles too much and they are mixing with the clear liquid.

When it is cold, pour away the water, rinse the whole thing out and fill with boiled tap water, it will be fine.
