MY LG DVD/VHS DC593W SHOWS A RED KEY I CANT PRESS...

I have the model DC953w LG DVD and VHS combo.some how i managed to get the player to only recodnise the remote,,it shows the red locked key and i dont know how to un-lock it so i can press the buttons thee machine itself,A red key flashes on the LCD display what do I do its a very old model and a great machine its been going for years,,,PLEASE HELP
