MY MOM WONT let me get MY DRIVER'S LICENCE!?

i turned 16 back and january, i planned on getting right on my birhtday.

its been 7 months now and all my friends got theirs.

my mom and i have always had a spazzy relationship.

so when it came to getting my driver's she DELIBERATLY WOULD NOT GIVE ME CONSENT.

she gives me excuses like how i always go to bed late, and am always late for school, blah blah, and how i always fight with my little sister.

BUT HECK DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH DRIVING? NO

i've reasoned with her but she's stilll riddiculous.

so now im sitting around upset everyday

It's hard when you're little baby is growing up. She probably doesn't want to admit that you're growing up to be an independent young women. When we get old enough to make decisions for ourselves, it means our parents no longer have such an important role. When they've been making nearly all our choices for us for the last 16 years, it is hard just to switch that off.

Try expressing to your Mum is a calm and reasonable way the reasons why you would like to sit your driver's license. Do not yell or shout or get angry. Ask her if she can provide you with reasons why she does not want you to get your license and please explain how they directly relate to it.

Show maturity. Go to bed earlier and get to school on time. Don't fight with your little sister. Your Mum might not think you're mature enough to get your license and if you want to prove your case, show her and yourself that you are mature.

shes worried about you getting hurt..driving is pretty serious.  i turned 16 9 months ago and i waited 6 months to get my permit then another 3 months to start taking lessons.  my dad hurt his back really bad in 2 car accidents. hes always like warning me about how dangerous it can be. i doubt your mom thinks your a bad kid shes just nerous about you driving
