Question:

MY PERIOD IS BACK BUT WORSE!?

So I had my son almost 3 months ago and have had a period 3 times already! I have literally had it every 2 weeks! And to top it off it is ridiculously heavy, I bleed through everything while wearing a tampon and a pad! Is this normal? Is this just a way that my body is getting back to normal? I am not sure if this is something to bug my doctor about. I hate being those people that call their doctor for every illness under the sun..I just am not sure if I should worry or not. Anyone relating to this at all or know what could be going on?

  1. Heavy bleeding is not abnormal after having a child, but if you are soaking pads with tampons, that isn't a good thing... you are losing too much blood.

Do see your doctor about this. Ultimately this could cause Iron issues for you and you can become quite tired all of the time. As well it can bring on other issues.

  2. Hey ye its ok. Your body is still trying to sort itself out after you had your baby. Mine was the same after my daughter. Your period should go ack to its orginal pattern (if you ever had one) but for now i would still wear the maternity pads as they are made for heavier post baby blood loss. But your gp or health visitor will be able to help you. Nothing wrong with asking them., you're not bugging them, your owrried about your body and thats fine.

hopw you feel better soon. And congrats!

  3. Aww ! Congratulations on the new baby boy !

and dont worry it is nothing , your body is just trying to find its way back to normal

it happened to my friend! she wore a tampon and pad at the same time and had to change every hour !

    horrendous !

    good luck x

    hope this helps x
