  1. Can you still read the screen?  If not, you might give Net-10 a call and beg them to help you.  I remember, when I dropped my cell phone into water, I was told by a customer service representative that I could add a "warranty" for my phone for about $10/month and then report my phone damaged in order to receive a new one.  Once I got the new phone, I could cancel the warranty.  You might consider that.  I'm so sorry this happened!  Good luck!

  2. I dropped mine in my pool , pulled out the battery and put the phone in some socks and put in the dryer with towels to keep it from beating the inside of the dryer and after a hour dry time works fine and has been a year, its also a camera phone.

  3. so to answer your question!!:)

im sorry but i really dont think it'll survive.. the water might have even fried some wires or something in the phone. im not on expert on technology but my friend dropped her phone in the water.. it worked for a little bit then stopped. and just like wiht yours her screen was foggy and there were even water bubbles. best would be to take it in.. although i doubt they'd repair it for free or at all. I had water damage on my phone and it wasn't even dropped in water  i just set it on a surface that was wet and it never worked again.

    sorry!!:(

  4. I've worked in the cell phone industry for a long time.   I don;t know who your carrier is, but all the phone companies know about this problem (and it is way more common then you know).  Call you cell phone company immediately, the customer service line.  There are 800 numbers if you can't use the phone.  Tell them the phone number on your account and the make and model of the type of phone you have and they will be able to talk you through steps to help your phone, if it possible.

    Good Luck!!!

  5. i dropped my cell in the toilet one day, and after i washed it, and let it hang near the air-conditioner for one night, and it did have some fog on the screen, but it did go away eventually. phones usually are not really friendly with water, but give it a try. also, i would not recommend to heat it with a lamp, just cold dry it, and leave it on the wind for 12 hours or so. also, do not try to switch it on, until u r sure that it is dry enough, cuz it may cause some wiring go wrong

  6. Seems like you solved the problem, but just a little life saving advice for the future!

You know those little packets you often get in shoe boxes and other packages that say do not eat? The substance is silica gel and is a very good dessicant / dehumidifier. If you save all of your silica packets in a plastic bag, whenever you drop a phone or other small electronic device in water, stick it in a ziplock bag with your packets and leave it be for a few days and it'll be good as new. And remember never to try and turn your phone on again until you KNOW that its totally dry, or you risk permenant damage! Its worked for my whole family a million times (just so long as we remember where we put the bag) :-)
