MY PHONE LINE ONLY WORKS FOR MY DSL...HELP PLEASE!!! EASY POINTS!

My dsl works just fine but my home phone has no dial tone and when called callers receive a busy signal. It also does not work for my satalite either...what am i doing wrong? I would like to get my phone back and runnin asap so immediate help is needed!

When you received your modem from the phone company, you should have received some filters to use in conjunction with your DSL modem.  These filters allow your phone and modem to work together. Once the filters are installed your friends will be able to reach you on the phone and you will have a dial tone.

The filters are not cheap, so I hope you did not toss them into the trash after installing your modem.

What did you do that caused your phone to stop working? If you haven't changed anything and everything is plugged in properly, you may need to call your phone company (or email them if you don't have a cell phone).
