  1. By grey do you mean almost cloudy looking? If so, chances are your rabbit is blind in that eye.

Here's a link where you can find a rabbit vet in your area:

  2. thats what my rabbit had the the vet said he was partially blind.

hope he / she is ok.

  3. I'd suggest FINDING a vet and getting it looked at.

  4. this happened with my guinea pig if it just happened all of a sudden our vet said that he just scratched his eye and that they have a protective film over it until it heels and his eye went back to normal and could still see nothing to worry about

  5. Rabbits can get cataracts like people can. Does it look like a cloudy film on his eye? If that's the case, it's pretty much harmless and your rabbit will likely already have adapted to the partial loss of vision. You can do a Google image search for "cataracts" to compare. Many animals do just fine with slightly impaired vision.

If you aren't sure and want a second opinion, try the vet directory from the House Rabbit Society. There are plenty of vets that will look at rabbits if you know where to find them. If you can't find one in the directory, you could also call the local cat and dog vet and ask for a referral.

  6. Its hard to tell without a picture, he could very well be blind.

  7. When rabbis are outside, their eyes get dust and grim in them. This isn't very good for them, obviously. If your rabbi lives indoors, it might be because of the things floating in the air. NEVER put your rabbit in the garage. This can cause many illnesses. He might be blind. If he is, just let him rest awhile. Never play with him intensely like you would a younger bunny!

  8. well look on the computer and the'll tell you one the closest to you then go.

  9. It sounds like a cataract.  Maybe you can find a vet to remove it even if you have to travel to find one.

  10. I had a rabbit with 2 diff colored eyes, as he got older they got more and more cloudy and the vet said he was definately blind, but he lived a completely normal life and was about 10 when he died, and you would never have know he was blind :D

So don't worry if he is blind, he will probably be fine, but you should go to a vet as soon as you are able :)

  11. if the black part of the eye is cloudy/grayish or whiteish then the rabbit is blind in that eye...but keep in mind that rabbits have very poor eye sight to begin with and so if its only blind in 1 eye it dosn't really affect the rabbit hardly at all.  being blind would affect a cat much worse.
