  1. CLEEN IT LOTS WITH SALT WATER. u most likely wont die keep it cleen. CLEEN IT AND DONT LET  IT GET INFECTED. if it gets infected  with green puss see a DR. i have had mine done for 4 years now and i am 16 (DO NOT US NEO ON IT THAT WILL KEEP IT TO WET AND IT WILL NOT HEAL)

  2. It wasn't smart of you to do it yourself. I'm not trying to scare you, but this is the consequences if you do it yourself. I'm almost 100% positive it will become infected. Mine got infected a little after I had it done for 3 months and I went to a professional place to get it done. In the shower, clean it with anti-bacterial gel you can probably buy at the drugstore. Using Q-Tips, put neosporin around the piercing holes. But make sure it doesn't get in your piercing holes.

If it gets infected and stays infected for more than a month, then go to your doctors. Hope I helped!

  3. hahahaha you should  NEVER pierce it yourself, there is a lot of potential for infections.... while you probably won't die unless you get a very bad infection and let it spread for years and years, it could still leave an ugly scar, or cause scarred bumps/raised tissue called keloids.

make sure to keep it clean. i answered one of your other questions this way-- clean it with antibacterial soap, rinse well. be careful with drying your piercing so you don't accidently pull it out. be careful with shirts it can get caught on. the more you jack around with it, the more it'll get jacked up, so leave it alone except for when you are cleaning it or doing salt soaks.

salt soaks will help with healing and scarring. one cup water, 1/4 teaspoon of SEA SALT. soak it in a cotton ball and keep it over your piercing for 5 minutes or so every four hours. you can stop doing this after about a month or two, unless you see it's getting swollen or something.

you really should NOT use neosporin or alcohol. it is too harsh on the piercing, it hurts the skin that may have healed.

AND AS ALWAYS, if you see it getting infected (it's sore, bleeding, has pus, etc), call a doctor. even if you aren't positive if it's infected, going to a doctor is the best thing to do, just to make sure. if you can't do that because you're hiding it from your parents or something, try looking up a piercing place in the phonebook and calling them to ask questions. if it's really infected, though, then the best bet is for you to take the piercing out and let it heal over. then, wait to do the piercing again when you can get it done professionally, or when you actually know what you're doing/what the consequences might be!

  4. Chances are that it's already infected. don't take it out as the skin can grow over the infection and trap it inside. clean it well...

You can do this two ways...

    A) (The lazy way; i normally use this way when i got to the gym and can't do proper hot sea salt soaks....) But 0.9% saline solution at the pharmacist (buy in small packets, as they become contaminated after opening and you don't want to be using a single contaminated packet for 6 months!) Take one end of a q-tip and saturate it with the saline solution. clean the top. take the other end of the q-tip, saturate it with saline, and clean the bottom.

    B) (The proper way; this is much better, as the heat encourages the dead cells and lymph to escape.) Mix 1/4 teaspoon of non-iodised sea salt into 1 cup of HOT WATER. Wait for it to cool a bit, and when it's as hot as you can bear, invert it over your navel for 10 minutes.

Both of these methods, do it 3 times a day for 6 months. Don't spin the jewelry or even touch the jewelry; all you'll be doing is spinning all the germs and gunk back into the piercing and disturbing the healing cells. Your jewelry will not stick to your skin if it's made of good materials!

Don't use alcohol or the ear care solution given to you by your piercer. Alcohol is WAY too harsh, and will kill your skin cells instead of encouraging it to heal (that's why it stings). In addition to that, Alcohol kills the transient (good) bacteria in your skin, letting the invasive (bad) bacteria in.  Any polysporin or antiseptic is also bad, as they block air flow to the piercing, and lets the bacteria breed. In fact, don't ANYTHING ELSE other than sea-salt or saline solution. You will irritate it and make it harder to heal.
