MY car won't start, HELPPPPP!!!!!?

It's like this; i put my key in, i hear the sound, turn it to ACC and it just gets stuck there, it won't pass ACC, it will not go to start/on. all my lights work, i put a new battery a month ago. At first i figured it was the key, so i made a duplicate, cuz the old one looks worned out, but still no LUCK, so now im stuck and frustrated; and the worst thing is, it's not my car, it's my friends car. Can somebody help me please. And yes the car is in PARK, and I did the wiggle the steering from left to right. Anything else that I should do? Thanks.

Ask your friend it may just be the way key is inserted. try push pull up down in out all while turning the key.also look on steering column neer key for button If that does not work maybe bad tumblers in ignition.

ignition switch is probably bad.

Check it's properly in PARK, then put your foot on the brake pedal. Lots of cars with automatic gearboxes won't start if you don't have your foot on the brake.

Sounds like a bad lock assembly in the steering column since it does go to the acc position.

If you can't get it to move by yanking the wheel back and forth, the it's going to have to be replaced. I had one do this on a BMW 520.

turn your lights on, if they work turn the key see if the lights dim. if they do its the battery, charge it up. if they don't solenoid or starter motor gone. see if you can bump start it.

Charge the Battery , Take some one else car put the charger plug on their battery and connect it to your battery and charge it , It will work :)
