MY first dirt bike???

Question

hi im gonna buy my 1st dirt bike from a freind for $ 1400. it is a 03 yahmaha ttr 125cc 4 stroke. is that a good size for me. i am 13 about 5 feet 2 inches. and weigh about 108 lbs. it has brand new $300 pipe. and is in excelent condition.

Yeah thats a great bike for you, i doubt you'l be wanting a 250cc too soon.

At that price a ttr 125 is great. They are proper dirtbikes and beginner friendly

nice bike but If you dont have a lot or experience under your belt it could prove too much.   have him teach you to ride as an agreement of you paying full price.  remember If you have never been on a bike you might want to find something cheaper to bang around.

It is a great bike to learn on and they have some hop up parts when your ready. In my area 1400 is high for a 03, the 09 are coming out soon so the bike is 6 years old. Have fun good luck.

If hes a good buddy, you will probably be able to talk him down as low as 950, but dont if you know he needs the money for something. And also that sounds like a good fit.

I say it's perfect for you. Make sure to get and ALWAYS wear a helmet and gear. I won't even pull my bike into the garage without a helmet.

Yea, that will fit you great. But the only thing is, is that if you really like riding, you will probably get sick of the 125 quick and want to amp up the power to a 250 or so..but thats just my opinion. But you will no doubt be able to keep up with your buddies and have a lot of fun on the 125. I say take it..but haggle the price down to 1200

My daughters are 5'0, about your age, and they both ride Yamaha 125s.
