MY parakeet hasn't been growing her wing and tail feathers back. She's six years old, and appears to be quite healthy except her "main" feathers haven't been growing back for a while now. Will she be stuck like this forever or is there something I can do to help her?

I know for a fact it's not molting, because she does molt in march, etc. but I haven't seen any wing/tail feathers for a long time now and I'm really worried. Any ideas?

  1. i guess u maybe cut off its wings

  2. Give her a little bite of time, it can sometimes take a year to grow back. She is healthy and happy, so enjoy your bird and stop worrying about her... lol... You are doing a good job.

  3. sometimes it can take awhile for feathers to grown back, but im sure they will  check out http://www.parrotcentral.net/ for good bird info
