My son is 22 years old studying in engineering fourth year.He has suddenly started being dull and thinking something. This problem started when he got his boll swelled while doing excersise. He complains about constipation. He says that he do not feel urine pressure. when consulted to the urologist he said there is no problem and if he get proper bowel movement then the urine will be free. Now he is sitting dull thinking something. He says that he donot have freids in locality. In the chilhood we sometimes stopped him from going out. after wards when he used to sit inside we insisted him to play with boys then he started playing. he is not consistent in his actions sometimes he likes something and sometimes he likes something else.He is lazy towards studies even though he is an above average student he gives less time towards studies. He complains of pains in legs before sleeping and morning while waking up. during childhood he was fed by mothers milk only for three months after that he refused and he was given outside milk. why is he thinking more. when asked he initilaly said he is feeling p***s shrinking and pain in neck. Now he is not highlighting that but going on thinking.he says that he could not play with freinds a lot. I am investing a lot on his studies how could i bring him to normal.

  1. I think that this is a physcological problem =s

It's okay admiting your problems on Yahoo answers can help! ;)

  2. As the others here have stated, you have presented this questions in a way that brings in a lot of unrelated symptoms to a leg injury, the mental confusion should not pertain to the leg injury , I would suggest you re-ask the question and try to stick to just the one problem however, from what I can understand of this it almost sounds like he could have some mental problems or might have a back or spine problem that could affect his legs and his bowels, am only guessing , it would help if you could restate the question and just involve symptoms of the legs. There is a spell check on this at the top of the page that would help too. Good luck.

  3. consult psychiatrist.................

  4. You just described a whole lot of different symptoms and traits of your son. I'm not a doctor, but it seems they're not all directly related. What I can suggest you is but a stance: avoid seeing his problems as caused by your fault and then try to help him get help. Doing psychotherapy is a great way for him to improve his self knowledge and be okay with dealing with any problems he might have, even health issues.

  5. Uh? Really confused by your question but pains in the legs is most likely something to do with restless leg syndrome, and I couldn't understand much more than that.

  6. When it comes to health matters, always get 2nd and 3rd opinions if you feel a health issue is not being resolved.  This goes for anything in life.

As for bringing your son back to normal, I feel you need to examine his happiness vs. yours.   Are you projecting your idea of happiness upon your child?  Lack of interest in studies does not mean a child is unintelligent or problematic, rather, it means he is not interested--that is a huge difference.  Our sons and daughters can't all be doctors and dentists because we want them to.  The fact is, when we are really interested in something we excel at it.

  7. I'd invest in a good doctor- for BOTH of you.

  8. Wow, this is a very complex question. First, your son appears to be displaying the signs of depression and would suggest this is a problem which should be addressed by your Doctor or Therapist. One small suggestion - have you asked your doctor if he has an under active Thyroid Gland. If you Google "Hypothyroidism" you will see that many of the symptoms your son is complaining of appear as features in the situation you describe.

I have no idea what is causing the pain in his legs unless it is due to the under active Thyroid. The Urologist is right, not that I should question a Consultant's professional opinion, about the urine problem. Impacted faeces can cause distress in the waterworks as it puts undue pressure on the Prostate Gland (this is located very close to the bowel which influences water flow), and suggest you can help him with diet. It may be that he needs extra fibre in his diet but something like Senna pods might give him almost instant relief. If he is not passing urine on a regular basis he should be encouraged to drink more water, no less than two litres a day is the amount recommended by Urologists and more if the ambient temperature is high or he is engaged in physical activities, sport etc.

I believe you need to go back to your Doctor though. I hope this helps and your son is back to his normal self soon.

  9. for physical health tell him to start drinking/binging  4/5 litres water daily.eat more raw foods, for better nutrition.spend time in the sun[sunbathe].exercise to release the happy hormones.and meditate./or do naam j*p.
