I don't have a MySpace, and that's completly of my choice. I'm 15, not a particular social outcast, and I have a somewhat healthy social life. I just find it completly unneccisary, and would even go as far to label it was a black hole for adolescent souls. It solves nothing and has proven time and time again to be more trouble than it's worth. Get out while you still have enough sanity to even think about not getting a MySpace, you may or may not choice to believe this, but there are other ways to socialize with people other than crouching over your keyboard.

Yes, I do have a myspace.  I'm 15 and at first my mom didn't like taht I had one, but then I told her that I wasn't talking to strangers and that I just used it to keep in touch with my friends and she was okay with it after a while.  It's basically about how mature they think you are.  Since, if they trust you, they won't think that you will be stupid and go sneak off with strangers or watever.

Yes, and yes (my mom even has one). If your parents won't let you have one tell them about the privacy settings, even offer to make them one, that way they know what its about, and don't hide anything from them, it'll make them more leanient on you. Just don't put anything up that could get you into trouble.

Nope. My parents think myspace is bad...It is bad anyways. Some chick that looked like me met up with some guy and disappeared and my parents freaked out when they couldn't find me...I was still sleeping.

The truth to it, it's as safe as any other friend site. There's a thing called private profile, where only your friends can see it. How is that dangerous at all?

Hey, I'm 16 and I've had a myspace for like..over a year now. Just make sure your parents know about it, and explain to them that you can set it to private, so only people you allow to view it can. =]

well, im old enough that i dont need her telling me what i can and cant do, but, i would never get one, they are dangerous and there is no point, i had one, and it is boring and stupid and gives computers viruses, and you get these crazy people talking to you, its no wonder how many people wind up getting stalked off of myspace
