Ma. Bianca Ysabel Carlos enters in Women’s Singles final of 2011 MVP Sports Foundation Bingo Bonanza
Philippines’ spirited shuttler, Ma. Bianca Ysabel Carlos has reserved her spot in the Women’s Singles final after crushing Jamila Fatima Cruz in the semi-final of the 2011 MVP Sports Foundation Bingo Bonanza, in Philippines, today on August 2.
The second seed of the event, Ysabel Carlos delivered a remarkable performance against Jamila in the semi-final fight which took just 27 minutes of good badminton from both sides. The second seed finished up the match in straight games by playing quite impressively.
Ysabel Carlos was too strong for Jamila in both sets as she was playing planned and positive badminton. He never lost her focus at any stage in the whole match against the confused Jamila who was executing many negative strokes by attempting hasty shots.
Until the 60-second break in the opening set, the second seed established a comfortable lead of 11-3.
After the break, Ysabel Carlos played top class badminton as she was targeting the loop poles in her opponent’s court. Jamila tried a little to play well but failed to focus in the game and started to hit the bird out of the court. The number two seed won
the first game by a remarkable margin of 21-6, in just 10 minutes.
In the second game, Jamila played better badminton by taking the bird early. She was playing good at net and earned many points by executing superb net strokes. The score remained tied until the interval, when the higher ranked Ysabel Carlos managed a lead
of 11-9.
In the second half of the set, Ysabel Carlos geared up her speed at the net and started to push the bird in both corners of the rear court. Jamila failed to match the speed of the rallies and made many errors in returning the bird. Ysabel Carlos won the
second game with a six-point gap of 21-15, in just 17 minutes.
This one-sided semi-final battle ended up with the victory of Ysabel Carlos, who finished it up with the score of 21-6 and 21-15 in just 27 minutes.
