Ma Qing Hua ready to drive HRT at Friday practice of 2012 Italian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Ma Qing Hua will make his first ever appearance in the world of Formula 1 as he is ready to drive HRT at the free Friday practice of the 2012 Italian Grand Prix.
Qing Hua has driven for the Madrid based team in the Young Driver Test which was held at Silverstone Circuit during the current season. Moreover, it will be important to mention that he is the first Chinese driver who will take part in an F1 grand prix weekend.
Furthermore, he will replace Narain Karthikeyan of HRT during the first practice session on Friday at Autodromo di Monza. Additionally, the run in FP1 is surely a great opportunity for him to show his skills and abilities.
The Chinese driver said that he is extremely delighted to see his dream coming true while he said that he is eagerly looking forward to drive the car at Monza circuit. Besides, he said that he will try his best to gather the necessary information about the
updates in the car so as to provide help to his team in making the substantial advancements.
“This is a very important step towards my dream of becoming a Formula 1 driver,” Qing Hua said. “It will be my second time in the car, after the Young Driver Test in Silverstone, and I'm very excited about driving at a circuit like Monza. The objective of
this session is to continue advancing with my programme, rack up more miles and experience at the wheel of an F1 car and help the team with whatever they need.”
He also said that he is focussing to perform at his best in Italy and has been waiting for this moment for quite a long time.
“I'm excited but also calm about it because I've been training hard in past months to be prepared when the opportunity presented itself,” he added.
Over and above, he said that he is immensely pleased with his team which has offered him the chance to show his potential in the sport.
It will be interesting to see how Qing Hua shows up on Friday.
