Ma Qing Hua will make his second appearance at FP1 of Singapore Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Ma Qing Hua will make his second appearance on the Singaporean Marina Bay Street Circuit.
HRT has elected him to take over Narain Karthikeyan’s car for free practice 1 session of the Singapore Grand Prix.
The Chinese driver is glad with his second appearance at the circuit and said that it feels great to drive the F112. He appreciated the opportunity given by the Spanish team. The driver takes the opportunity as a challenge to show better performance as it
is the second time he will be driving on the racing track.
He said, “I'm very happy to drive the F112 for a second time in a row and I really appreciate the opportunity HRT is giving me. It will be very exciting to drive an F1 car around the streets of Singapore.”
Qing Hua further said that he has gained some confidence by his first drive at the Monza circuit and his second outing at Marina Bay Street Circuit will add to his Formula 1 experience.
“It's a very demanding track for all of us, but it will be even more of a challenge for me as this is only the second time I will be driving the car at a race weekend,” the Chinese said.
Additionally, he said that he has been preparing in the simulator as well as doing some specific exercises to aid him in night driving. He added that his second practice session will further aid him in his Formula 1 career. The test driver said that he will
try his best to help the team so that it may prepare for the upcoming Singaporean Grand Prix.
The Chinese rider had earlier said that he will work hard to gain Formula 1 experience. He took part at the Monza circuit and completed 26 laps there, completing his fastest lap in 1 minute and 31.239 seconds. His gap from his teammate Pedro de la Rosa was
slightly less than two seconds and he attained 24th position.
Let’s see how his exercise aids him at the Singaporean circuit as it is the only race which comes to action at night.
