Reports in Dutch media suggest that Maarten Stekelenburg’s move to AS Roma from Ajax Amsterdam is now just a matter of few days, as both sides have reached an agreement over the transfer fee. In addition, the highly-rated goalkeeper has also reached found
a common ground with La Maggica on personal terms and would be flying to Italy to undergo a medical.
The 28-year-old has been guarding the net at Amsterdam Arena exceptionally well for the last six years and has remained linked with a number of elite European clubs. However, the Dutch custodian has expressed his desire to move away from his parent club
for the first time this season and wants the deal to go through in the ongoing summer transfer market.
