Mac Desktop Graphics Card?

I am really considering purchasing a Mac Desktop now. However after having heard Mac is the computer for creative professionals the Graphics card seems inferior to that of a Vaio laptop? The VAIO has a Nvidia 8400 and the iMAC 20 inch has ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT. If so is it a terrible decision to buy a iMac? I'm so confused help please

  1. I like mac a lot because it does not have any viruses, mac pro has option to upgrade to 2 processors and it has up to 64 gb of ram. I think dell has the second highest ram upgrade up to 32 gb of ram. Mac pro has a very fast hard drive up to 1500 rpm. There are also some disadvantages such as mac does no support a whole lot of game so if you want to play extrem games go with windows. Then mac pro does not have the latest graphics card such as nividia geforce gtx 280 and and ati radeon hd 4870 one.

Conclusion: Despite the cons mac is very good. It is absolutely not a terrible decison to buy a mac. In my opinion building your own computer is the best way because you have completecontrol over your system. Some website to help you with building computers are:

  2. Macs are mainly for professionals because only professionals can afford the massive premium you pay when you buy an iMac. If you just want a decent computer, go for a PC. You can upgrade the graphics card in the Apple Shop UK iMac customization.
