.Mac On Apple/Mobile Me?

Yesterday i got the Mac Book Air from apple. Well my dad went and bought it me.

In the "Finder" on the mac under the "Devices" section it says "iDisk" so i clicked on it and it says "WebDAV File System Authentication" then asks me for my Name & Password. I've typed in my apple ID but still now look.

Do i need to have .Mac or Mobile Me to access this? I went on to the apples website and for subscribers of ".Mac" it's gone to "Mobile Me".

Also to like publish websites and music do i have to be subscribed to the ".Mac" for this?

Thank's

J

  1. I think apple has changed everything .mac to mobileme, so if you have a .mac account, it should have been changed to mobileme already. Try going into system preferences and messing around with the .mac section. Mine had to update so i could use mobileme. And yes, you have to have mobileme account to publish websites using iweb, but not music. once you've made your music, you can do what you want with it, its yours !
