Mac Parallel Directx problem?

Question

i have vmware on my macbook(osx lep) which is currently running xp home. i am trying to play guild wars on my xp partition but it requires Directx. i have instaled the directx (link given by Gwars) two time on my xp. am i doing something wrong or what? any suggestions or advice on how to successfully install and run directx would be awesome!

I have Parallels on my iMac and I pretty much just had to figure out how to install stuff for Windows by trial and error and logical thinking.

Where do you normally install DirectX drivers in Windows? (which folder?)
