Mac Pro Graphics Card?

Question

Why does a Mac Pro Laptop have a far superior Graphics card to that of the iMac??? I want to purchase an apple desktop and am very comcearned that the Radeon Graphics Card is not going to be able to support animation? I don't understand the canyon between Graphics card's on Mac.

Because you're comparing a moped with a superbike. The iMac is a base model, compare it with the Macbook. The equivalent of the Macbook Pro is the Mac Pro. That has top performance GPUs.
