Mac Question?

Ok, so I sort of have 2 questions but anyway:

1. I have a normal white, leopard running, macbook G5 that i got, new, for X-mas (07). A few weeks ago i was trying to burn a disk (in iDVD) but it said "... your computer doesnt support superdrive..." and wouldn't let me burn the disk... what can i do so i will be able to?

2. i've been importing tapes onto my computer (to imovie '08) from my panasonic video camera, and i've realized it takes up a lot of space (40 GB for 200 minutes of tape about). i find it hard to completly delete the footage from my computer (through imovie 08) does anyone know how to completely delete small parts of "events"/clips?

Thanks!

  1. click on the apple symbol in the top left side.

    click 'about this mac'

    click 'more info'

then try 'disc burning' and check to see if you have superdrive.

    it's 99% likely you do.

if so, try a software update -

    (underneath 'about this mac')

upload any software. if still problematic then consult dealer.

also, get yourself an external harddrive for video. you shouldnt be using the macbook drive for video, it spins too slowly and takes up too much room.

a recommend a lacie drive and plug it in via firewire (6 pin to 6 pin)
