how can i make my mac book pro into a dvdr ie how can i record programs off the telly.

  1. you would need some sort of video input hardware, there are alot of variations of usb and firewire inputs, most come with provided software to get the job done


  2. MacBookPros are ALREADY a DVR!

    What you need is an adapter for your particular output device.

    MBP comes with Digtal I/O via FireWire.

    It comes into iMovie.

    You may need a Canopus 110 or higher converter.

    This would allow LIVE capture.

    You can also log onto the net for access.

    The best of course is through a digital device.

    Satellite/Cable/FiberOptic.
