Mac donalds?

is macdonalds really that bad for you. because when i think about it i do eat alot of c**p haha :) and is it best to stop eating so much at my age (14) before i start putting weight on and start getting fat?

  1. McDonalds DOES have healthy choices, but for the most part, its all bad.  I really like their fruit and yogurt parfaits and also their apple dippers...yummmmmy (:

    If you do eat McDonalds a lot, you may want to cut down.  Once or twice a week is okay, but more than twice is not.

    I know it is hard since its sooo good, but just try to stay away from the big macs and french fries and you should be fine.

  4. You could be eating better things, but they dont taste as good! I used to eat McDonalds all the time when there was one in my town, but its shut down now, im sure if it was still there I would be incredibly fat!

    Maccy D's is pretty bad for you, but  as long as you do enough exercise to burn off all the c**p, you won't get fatter. Too much of anything is bad for you

  5. Yes it is bad for you.  Don't completely stop eating it.  eat it every now and then.  That way you won't miss it.  Or try to order smaller proportions of what you want.

  6. well they arent healthy but a few tyms doiesn't hurt and it depends what you have ! mcdonalds offer some healthy stuff which is quite nice if u give it ago.

    if you cut down a bit on greasy, sugary foods ull b f9 ! n if u cant try doin some more excerise - that will keep th epunds off !;)

  7. yeah its best to stop eating such bad food now while you're still young.

    MacDonalds is really bad. you could still eat it like once every few weeks or something..but try eating healthier foods most the time.

    Not only will it help you not gain weight now..but it will help you down the long run in life...like w/ Cholesterol problems....having too much salt now..will effect you later in life to where you wont be able to have any at all..believe my grandparents are going thru it now.

    and lots of other things like..diebetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer..i know it sucks b/c theres like nothing you can do w/out worrying wheter or not it will effect us later in life.......i need to start eating right too....oh and just b/c someone is thin doesnt mean they are healthy in anyway!

    oh and watch Supersize me..it will probably scare you enough to not eat that nasty stuff all the time.

There was a guy who ate a McDonald's hamburger every day and yet was slim.  I think he ate quarter pounders.  He never ate french fries.  The biggest thing is fried food is very fat (so those fish filet are very bad for you even though it has fish).  Chicken nuggets are also bad.  I would also avoid cheese as it is very fat.  Be careful of your choices.  I happen to like their Chinese salad and the apple thing (not dippers).

  9. it is horrible for you. infact if you eat alot of it, it will kill you.  .. watch the movie supersize me. it will give you a whole new perspective.

The other answer is good.  The movie "Supersize Me."  This guy was paid, (Not nearly enough), to eat 3 meals a day at Mickey D's, for ine who month.  They made it into a Documentary.  Before the month was up, he was Hospitalized!!  In serious condition!!  Due to what he ate, for the past 3 weeks.  There's something seriously wrong with this.  It's real.

  11. It has been proven that many places are worse than Mac Donalds, mainly because of the portions they serve but also hidden calories.

    The key is moderation.

It's not so much about getting fat.  My brother can eat McDonalds all day long (he's 26 now) and not get fat.  He's got a really high metabolism.  However, he was diagnosed with heart problems following a mild heart attack he had.  His cholesterol was through the roof!  He was only 20 at the time.  THAT is why McDonalds is bad for you.

    Even healthy food could make you fat if you eat enough of it in the wrong proportions....  But greasy food like McDonalds can clog your arteries and give you a heart attack.  There are a million other health issues that pop up.  You don't have to be obese to have the same health problems as obese people.  You can be skinny like my brother is and have a heart attack at 20 because you eat too much crappy food.

Anything in abundance is bad.  I eat McDonald's a lot and I'm in fairly good health.  No high blood pressure or cholesterol or anything.  As long as you eat in moderation and pick the healthy choices, you'll be ok.  Don't get the double/triple burgers and then super size it.  A regular sized meal is enough.    

    If you still want to eat McD's just step up working out some.  You're still young, so it will be easy for you to maintain your health.

  16. i used to eat mcdonals ALOT. i never had a problem with gaining weight, however when i would go to eat something else my stomach would get so upset. its like all my body wanted to consume was mcdonalds. i still eat but try to limit myself to once a month instead of like 3 times a week

  17. once a week is bad in the movie supersize me that guy ate it 3 times a day and a lot hes dumb... all food can do that too you if you eat a lot of it everyonce and a while its ok to have
