Mac make up is it really worth it?

Question

I was just wondering if mac makeup is any better than something like clinque or off brand products? If some one could please help.

Well i've used their liquid and powder foundation (studio fix) a couple of times and to  me , drugstore brands work just as good, if not better than MAC. its just a matter of finding the right color. plus i think my face became much oiler so i stopped wearing mac and went to more natural and cheaper foundation. although i do like their lipgloss. thats about it.

YES YES YES!!!  I swear by that brand.  I use a few other products, bit most of my eye shadow, blush, lipstick, and eyeliner shades are MAC.  They are highly pigmented and last a long time.  And if you return 6 empty containers of any of their products (they call it "Recycling") you get a free lipstick at department stores.  But if you are lucky to have  MAC store near you, you also have the option of substituting a lipstick for a Lipglass or an eye shadow single.

Heyy Chicka,

I personally LOVE anything thats branded and I happen to love MAC. Unfortunatley though, makeup is not like a purse, whereas you cant tell that your MAC eyeshadow could have been HIP (Loreal). I dont use MAC but everything else works fine if not better :)

I've heard great reviews on here, but no. you're probably better off getting twice the products with a less expensive brand.

MAC products are known to last long, but that it because they originally were a stage makeup, they are heavy and aren't good for your skin at all. I don't suggest using them.

It really depends what kind of look you seek.

I've heard good things about the Mac foundation from friends about it evening your facial tone and I also happen to own Mac liquid eye liner and it is quite long-lasting (and when I say long-lasting, I mean, water won't take it off).

Mac has a high pigmentation, meaning it stays on better.

Also they have alot more shades than most companies...and its really not very expensive. Its lasts a pretty long time too...

as far as cover up goes, it only depends on your skin type, but the eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, and blushes are awesome!
