Mac makeup...need opinions.

does it really make you breakout?..everyone says it does.

nopeee; i use it all the time & i have really sensitive skin.

if you have acne prone skin, then yes.

its too thick so it made me break out.

mac makeup is all good except for the foundation and powder.

they're shadow and liner is amazing.

When I tried their studio fix powder foundation, I broke out terribly. Also, it made my face really oily after a very short time. The only real upside was that the coverage was really good. Some people are lucky enough to not have reactions to MAC's face makeup, but I'm not one of those people. I stick with mineral makeup.

But when it comes to MAC's other products, I love their lipsticks, eye shadows, pigments, pretty much everything but their face makeup.

God, no. In fact, their Studio Fix foundation is the only thing I've ever used that worked and didn't make me break out like crazy (I have very oily skin, and occasional acne). They've revamped their formulas a lot in the past few years, so the acnegenic claims are way out of date.

The only issue I have with that particular product is their shades for lighter skin aren't very good. I'm Spanish though, so their NW30 is great for me.

not really it just really depend or your skin if you sensitive skin you will mostly breakout cause you makeup that natural like bare minerals.

mac cover up and foundation make alot of peoples faces break out because its so thick.

but i like their eye shadow and stuff

they have everything.

yeahhh and its pretty cheap... not just in cost. i would try avoiding it. i would have to say the best drug store brand is covergirl.

Personally I think it depends on your skin type. Some skin adsorbs make up more than others, or the products you could use to prep for makeup like moturizers and such can end up clogging your skin. If your skin is even and or clear from acne and such, then just stick with mascara and eyeliner! Or blush now and then on your cheeks. Its easier on your skin to NOT wear makeup.

It does for some people, it doesn't for others. If you're prone to break outs, especially from drug store brands of makeup, I would stay away from MAC. If you do decide to buy a MAC Foundation or Powder and it does make you break out, you can always return it. You can try on most of the MAC makeup products in the store.
