Mac os 9.1

Question

yea I accidently deleted a file on my IBOOK and now when I start it up it won't boot up all the way all you see is a file folder with a ? symbol and a face looking thing that keeps on flashing back and forth from one to the other and I don't have the original os 9.1 CD so please help me.
