I want to hook up my macbook to a projector can i use a usb port or do i need an adapter from apple

  1. You need a Apple Mini-DVI to Video Adapter.  It plugs into a port on the side. (not the usb port)  You plug in a RCA cord to the adapter and then the other end goes to the projector.  This costs $19.

    I have one and it works very good.  Remember... it doesn't include audio - only video.


  2. The macbook has a DVI output, use that.
