MacBook or Dell 15.4" Inspiron 1525-108W Sunshine Yellow Laptop PC w/ Intel Celeron Processor 550 ?

I don't really have a preference. I like both of them. What do you think I should get? Which will last long, and still be good to use for years to come?

Its really up to you, are you familiar with macs and their OS? if not i wouldn't recommend getting one, what do you plan on doing on the laptops?

If I were choosing id pick the macbook because with macbook you can have leopard and windows or OS10 and windows on the same laptop, vs. the dell which will only have windows on it, with macbook you get the best of both worlds, plus many may not realize it but macbooks have more physical applications than any windows based laptops.

Last longer?

Definitely the Macbook.

My last iBook was five years old, still running perfectly.  I finally had to kill it with a glass of champagne poured through the keyboard, so that I could justify going out and buying the Macbook when it came out.

(Well, okay ... it was an accident.  but you get the point!)

I also have an ancient Mac G4 desktop that's been running flawlessly for almost NINE years!

For reliability and durability there's nothing else that comes even close to Apple!
