I am a beginner when it comes to golfing but came across a set of MacGregor Clubs in good condition. Is this a good starter set? Are they good clubs?

  1. Yeah, why not?  Once you get better, you may want to get some clubs that are more "playable".  By the way, the MacGregor company made THE best clubs ever way back when, but have since fallen off the radar a bit.  Padraig Harrington play MacG's.  He doesn't suck.

  2. if you're a beginner just starting out with the game then it doesn't matter what brand of clubs u get. what matters is starting out right and learning fundamentals like grip, stance, posture, alignment, etc. practice hard on these basics first and then worry about equipment. btw, macgregor clubs tend to favor the better player so maybe that set u saw isn't the right one for u. also if they are forged blades then definately pass. a beginner starting out with blades is not a good thing.

  3. Theyre aite for a beginner but if u wanna get good get better clubs

  4. MacGregor is fine.  At this level, better clubs doesn't make you a better player.  Practice makes you a better player.
