Are you familiar with the Hawaii Electric Co. recipe that calls for 3/4 cup sugar but in the directions only uses 1/4 cup of the sugar? Is that a typo or is the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar supposed to be used to whip the cream for the topping? It does not state that. And I wonder if only 1/4 cup of sugar is enough to sweeten the custard sufficiently.Should I use use 3/4 cup of sugar in the custard? The recipe is here:http://www.recipezaar.com/43532
