The veteran midfielder has expressed his excitement prior to seeing the two European juggernauts face each other while maintaining his focus on the Portuguese international.
Former Manchester United player, Lou Macari, has taken out time to discuss Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and his return to the Old Trafford in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
Madrid are set to face Sir Alex’s men in the knock-out stages of the prestigious tournament as determined in today’s draws. The fixture has attracted a great deal of interest from all around the globe as they are two of the greatest clubs of all time.
Macari exclaimed that it will be an important night for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 as he is set to come against his former club for the first time after parting ways with them.
The Madrid number 7 parted ways with the Red Devils in the summer of 2009 after spending 7 seasons in Manchester. The footballer joined Los Blancos after an elongated transfer saga and mused that it was his dream move.
However, the footballer never lost respect for his former club as he asserted that they were immensely responsible in making him the player he is today.
"When he joined the club we thought he was a good player, but that was it. In fact, he went on to improve beyond belief and by the time he left he was arguably the best in the world. We all knew he was a Real Madrid fan as a boy and he wanted to join them,
which was understandable,  but since he left he has never said a bad word about the club and the fans don't forget that,” Lou Macari told reporters.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't celebrate if he scores against United, or have a muted celebration at the very least. There is a lot of mutual respect between the fans and the player." "I don't think the bookmakers can separate them. If United play
well and have a bit of luck then they can certainly go through.”
