Macedonia’s foreign-based player of the year 2010: Inter Milan's Goran Pandev

winning the trophy in 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

leading goal scorer, scoring 23 goals in 56 appearances.
Pandev couldn’t attend the Skopje ceremony to receive the award. National coach Mirsad Jonuz received the award on his behalf.
”Winning the European and world club titles has written Pandev into Macedonian football history and I wish him many more successes in his career,” said Jonuz.
Pandev was born in Strumica, Macedonia on July 27, 1983. His football career started with FK Belasica where he played during his youth academy years. His terrific performance in just one Prva Liga season led to a signing with Inter
in 2001 when he was just 18 years old. After Darko Pancev, Pandev became only the second Macedonian player to play in the Serie A.
In 2004, he was transferred to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 in January this year and helped them win the domestic treble, the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World
Cup.

“This is my first award and I hope it wouldn’t be the last,” he said. “The prize is an extra motivation for me for further successes with my club as well as with the Macedonian national team.”
Eighteen-year-old Parma FC midfielder Stefan Ristovski was named young player of the year, and FK Metalurg Skopje’s Serbian midfielder Milan Djuric was given the First League’s best foreign player award.
Vlatko Kostov, assistant coach of the national team, was named coach of the year for the consecutive second time, having led http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FK-Renova-c39328 to their maiden league title before his summer departure. Renova were also awarded as the team
of the year.
The women’s player of the year title was given to Natasa Andonova, an award hat-trick for the young midfielder. Andonova became the first female from her nation to join a foreign club when she was transferred from ZFK Borek to
1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. She delivered a memorable performance at the UEFA European Women’s Under-19 Championship finals.
Zoran Leveski was named futsal player of the year for his contribution in KMF Zelezarec Skopje’s taking the domestic title. Leveski also scored a total of four goals for KMF Zelezarec Skopje during the UEFA Futsal Cup.
