I was sewing along and suddenly the machine went completely dark. After letting it sit idle for a bit, I turned the switch back on and it would not respond. It has been dead ever since. Could this be a fuse problem?

I just tried to turn on my sewing machine and it is totally dead. I have a Janome 6500. I have unplugged it, tried a working outlet, etc. but no luck.
