All the dirty dishes are in, door is closed, dial is turned to appropriate cycle, power button on and light illuminated. Everything is sweet! I can hear the water running in and the cycle dial is 'ticking' away'. When the dial reaches its next stage, nothing... just a dull buzz. Works fine on the filling, heating and draining end of things, but alas no spinning washer arms or the sound of a motor working. Is the motor 'knackered'? I did notice a bit of residue on the base pan right under the motor. My other half also told me she smelt something burning. I have removed the motor, checked to see if it turns freely and it does. Also smelled it to see whether it might be burnt, but no, it does not smell fried. Is it possible that the problem exists elsewhere? I'm a little stumped. Any ideas?? ThanksMarty
