Machine washing beanie babies?

I have several Russ brand beanie babies that are getting kind of dirty and I was wondering if they'll be ruined if I wash them in the washing machine?

Do they still have the heart tag on them? You have to carefully take it off. Put them in a pillow case & wash them on a gentle short time cycle. Don't put them in the drier, let them air dry.
