  1. You can't actually camp on the site (it's a protected historical area).  What can be done, however, is camp on the way there.  YOu can hike the Inca Trail and camp for 4 - 6 days on the way there.  You have to go with guides, as it is a protected natural area and htey have to control the amount of people on it, but it is a truly amazing experience to wake up in the middle on the andes and hike to Machu Picchu

  2. No echo, no camping allowed!! The nearest hotel is Sanctuary Lodge, it's in Machu Picchu and it;s quite expensive. But you can wake up and opne your window and see the ruins! There is also another one in Aguas Calientes (nearest town) called Inka Terra but it is also a bit expensive.

No camping, no plastic bottles, no littering in Machu Picchu. Sorry!

  3. No amigo no camping there. Its a world wonder and needs to be well taken care of.

There are hotels around for every budget since $4,500 (El Monasterio hotel) a night down to $10 dollars a night (any small motel or "hostal" as they are called in Peru)

    Have fun in Peru!
